As a Kid I remember looking through the entire house just to find a cd player! I made songs in my head and had them memorised by the time the tune left my lips- or so I like to think I did.
My family would always encourage each other to sing and be expressive! Of course, always following the rules of what type of songs we could sing was necessary: i.e. no rap, hip hop, or dirty songs.
In Church, we would sing along in our section to the words above us on a screen; Christmas was very loud with all the hymns we knew; And, School was spent laughing, singing, and pretending we were the next Lady Gaga! It’s no wonder I fell in love with music!
Every day became one filled with rhythms and melodic poems stuck in my head, never seeming to be let out. Car rides, recess, every moment I had I dedicated it to music! And I am so very grateful that I had people encourage me along the way.
So… Here I am. I am Claire Victoria Risler; I am a Queer, Genderqueer Musician. My Genre is a mix of EDM, Alternative Pop, Indie, with a Cultural twist. My music is centered around the world as I see and believe it has become: I will speak of the wrongs the world has performed and the rights our people fight for.
If you ever need to scream to a song, I highly recommend either Phoenix by Fall out Boys, or Nightmare by Halsey. Listen to find your meaning of the song.

Being around music and other people who enjoy music can definitely help a love of music develop. I think that’s part of what created my love for music too.
